New contest, design the next PWI Loading Screen!

Grand Prize has been updated to give the winner the option of either a Tidal Serpent OR 7,000 ZEN.

Also, please know that images must be approved by someone at PWE before actually appearing on the website. This is why your image doesn't immediately appear after you submit it. Please consider the approval to appear on the site as the first stage of the judging process.

I'm going through a bunch right now, so be on the lookout for your submission.

Update 1-17-2012

Hey guys, after looking into it further, it turns out that our system auto re-sizes images that are uploaded to the fan content tool if they exceed a certain filesize (800k).


We're working now to change the way the tool works.


As for the contest, the winners were actually going to be announced today, but we'll have to postpone the results by one week so that we can go through the judging process again.


There is no need to re-submit your entries; what we'll do is allow any of the current entries that at least have the same proportions as 1280x1024. So for example, if your entry's dimensions were 1058x846, it will be accepted because it's proportionally the same as 1280x1024.


So I'm sorry about the delay in announcing the winners, but at least they will have been chosen from the correct pool of entries.

    I'm curious to what style they prefer.

    With a tablet and a strong image/painter program like Photoshop and Corel, you can mimic most types of artistic mediums.

    Eh I'd normally do something like this but the prizes aren't ..well they don't provide a whole lot of incentive. If I get any inspiration I may just do one for the sake of it but no real intention to win. Guess if anything It'd be nice to see stuff you make on a loading screen more so than a giant mutant bunny butt blocking your screen.

    MMkay, so basically it's like Tidal serpent (maybe 20 mil?) Vs 70 gold...which at max, with 2 mil per gold, would be 140 mil......


    Yeah I can already tell what the majority of PWI will take >_>

    I predict that the judges will pick up someone who have stolen art from somewhere else....

    Like it happened in all the art contests they made before ^^ (calendar events anyone?)

    i have some issues with loading my screen up :/ 48 hours past but no upload yet...b:shutup anyone have same prob? or solution? b:sadb:surrender

    Same thing's happened to me, I've uploaded two at the weekend, and since then several more have been added to the website, but mine still aren't there.. b:puzzled
